People Magazine, TV Guide, Entertainment Weekly, USA Today’s Idol Chatter, Us Magazine, The Daily Mail, MasterClassLady, MJB Star, and The Hollywood Gossip. Want more? There’s a lot. I mean, a LOT. (Google is your friend.)
And then there’s this very nice video from ENews:
The proud daddy posted this pic on JCM with the above title. So sweet…. As they say, a daddy is someone who carries pictures where his money used to be.
I couldn’t resist embellishing this a bit.
My beautiful baby girl’s first smile! We are happy to welcome Madeline Emelia Castro to our family!
For a lovely picture of the birthday girl, head on over to JasonCastroMusic.com.
Happy birthday, Madeline–and much love and congratulations to Mandy, Jason, and the whole Castro clan from the denizens of Castrocopia!
…from the Dallas Unsigned showcase, that is. These are from Jackie Castro:
Thanks, Jackie! And thanks to Jasonized for finding them for us!
So we didn’t end up getting a live stream (maybe it will materialize on future showcases), but we do have bootleg, thanks to Winnie. After the unsigneds performed, Jason sang two songs–You Can Always Come Home with his sister Jackie, and Hallelujah:
Oh, and if you’d like to hear some of the other performances, they are right on Winnie’s YouTube channel. Check ’em out!
…this is the sort of thing you’ll like.
You know how these go–former Idols are matched, fans vote, and the winners are paired up in the following round and so on, until the winner is chosen. Right now, Jason is matched up with Anthony Federov and the poll is only open until tomorrow morning, so if you want to join in, now’s the time!
On September 12, Jason will be performing at a benefit for Orphan Care International at the El Rey Theater in Chico, CA.
For more info, check out Orphan Care International’s website (under the “Jason Castro Show” tab) and/or the event’s Facebook page. (Hey, you definitely want to check out the Facebook page; they are giving away two free tickets to the show!)
For the Dallas Unsigned showcase that Jason is hosting tonight, that is–right here. (Click “here”. No, the first one.)
The show is scheduled to start at 7:30 pm Central time–which is 8:30 Eastern, 6:30 Mountain, and 5:30 Pacific. (If you live in a different time zone, you’re on your own.) These things are frequently saved, so if you miss some or all, we hope you’ll be able to catch it later. And we have a thread in our forum to discuss it before, during, and after, so come on in!
And please note–at the moment, what we have is a UStream address and word that they are going to try. No guarantees, just crossed fingers…
ETA: Jason’s dad, Rene, just tweeted that the showcase has begun and there’s no stream yet, so….Updates as I get ’em!
Thanks for the thread, oh_pook–and for the link, ArtTeacher!
